Forgive Me

I made an awfully grave mistake today. A dear friend trusted me with a task, a very important one related to something my friend values so much, and I failed. Had I been more careful in trusting a third party, it wouldn’t have happened.

Gosh, I never knew guilt could be so excruciating. I don’t know if I can ever look that friend in the eye again, knowing that I’ve taken away prospective joy my friend could’ve felt had I not screwed up.

Mate, I know no apologies can ever mend my fault. I just hope something will come up … something that might give me the slightest chance of seeking your forgiveness.
